This is the birth of TracPilates and it’s humble journey.
I started working out as a ‘Pilates junkie’ and reaped its benefits – it not only helped me manage my disc degenerative disease, improve my posture and quality of life, it ignited a fire in me to want to learn and move more. So when opportunity knocked at my door to learn more about Pilates, it was a no-brainer, I entered into a wonderland.
And on 15 Nov 2015, TracPilates was born. With one simple hope, I thought, I’m blessed to be a blessing, I want to pass it on, to help and inspire others to move better.
The more I learn about movement, the more I’m intrigued by how amazing our bodies are, how smart our bodies can be at learning and executing movement, and how much coordination and complexity goes into play for one simple move. I’m constantly inspired to unearth more and carry with me a heart full of awe for our Maker.
To satisfy my thirst for knowledge, I attend various courses and pour through books and videos to help me understand the different schools and theories on movement. The more I do this, the more my practice evolves. I often found myself reframing my thoughts and belief, adding on to my current understanding and integrating and building them into the program for clients to bring the best out of them. After all, “if you only do what you can do, you’ll never be better than what you are”. So, learning should never cease, not with age, not with time.
I know this journey is going to be fulfilling and it doesn’t come as an accident. I hope to share my experience and what I’ve learnt not only with clients, but with other like-minded ones who are pursuing their passion in getting people to move better and out of pain.
I hope by sharing my reflections and thoughts here in this site, I am planting seeds of inspiration, open-mindedness and opportunities for like-minded people to help others in this industry to become better so that we can help people move better.
